Taking the EfS self assessment

Getting an accurate picture of your current Education for Sustainability skills, and learning gaps is an important step in progressing and monitoring your professional development.
The Hub Education for Sustainability (EfS) self assessment tool will assist you to reflect on your abilities and assess your learning needs across the twelve learning areas of the EfS Capabilities Framework. After completing the EfS self assessment an interactive professional learning profile will be generated. The learning profile will show your strengths and highlight priority learning areas for you to focus on. You can use the learning profile to find EfS professional development resources targeting specified learning areas.
 

Using the EfS self assessment is a three step process

1. Reflection – Reflect carefully on your role as a practitioner using education for sustainability.
2. Take the EfS self assessment
3. Use your professional learning profile to ascertain your learning requirements, and locate EfS resources on the Hub to bridge learning gaps.

You will need to set aside at least 25 minutes to complete your EfS self assessment. You do not have to complete it all in one go – you can save your answers at any point and complete the EfS self assessment at another time. You need to register with the Hub to take the self assessment, don't worry it won't take long.

Revisiting the EfS self assessment tool is encouraged. Completing further assessments will allow you to gauge your professional learning growth and will provide you with an updated professional learning profile.
