Cool Australia - Educating young Australians for a sustainable future

Summary: Cool Australia’s educational program Our Cool School, brings sustainability and our environment into the classroom, providing teachers with engaging, fun and informative learning activities on a whole range of environmental topics.

Learning activities are year level specific (years 1 to 10) and linked to curriculum standards, including physical, personal and social learning. Discipline-based learning as well as interdisciplinary learning are also addressed.

Summary: A website with database of science and math songs searchable by target age. Songs also have lyrics sheets, MP3 files and/or you tube videos. Visitors can also access research and join the discussion about educating with music.

The Environment and Ethnic Communities in 2004

Summary: The Environment and Ethnic Communities in 2004 contains the results of the research which included focus group discussions and a telephone survey of 805 NSW residents from eight of NSW largest ethnic communities.
This research will assist educators, communicators and policy makers across many sectors in the design and delivery of communications, strategies and programs for ethnic communities. This link includes downloadable pdfs of the report and community profile booklets for specific ethnic groups.

Caring for Country MERI Toolkit

Summary: The monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement (MERI) toolkit provides project managers with tools and guidelines to assist in measuring and reporting on outcomes for their project.
This website is part of the Commonwealth Government's Caring for our Country investment program where it has been made available to be used together with the Caring for our Country MERI strategy which is based on the conceptual framework established in the NRM MERI Framework.
