Overview

We are always seeking new ways to inspire, equip and motivate. To this end the Education for Sustainability (EfS) Professional Learning Hub enables you to access quality resources from around the world and connect with professional learning service providers from across NSW and beyond.

For the latest information on using EfS as a tool for change visit the publications and digital media catalogues. Useful and inspiring events are listed on the events calendar and the funding and awards section holds Australian and international opportunities. If you still haven’t found what you’re looking for the links pages can connect you to some of the best EfS pages on the web.

The Hub is not just for sourcing quality education resources. If you have any good EfS publications, digital media resources, websites, events or funding/award opportunities you can share them with other sustainability practitioners, so long as you are a registered member.

The Hub focuses on providing professional learning resources that address 12 Education for Sustainability Capabilities.  To find vocational or technical focussed sustainability training opportunities visit the NSW Department of Education and Training’s Green Skills NSW Course Finder. 

Service providers offering professional learning opportunities that relate to EfS and the Capabilities Framework are encouraged to register with the Hub and use the website to connect with sustainability practitioners.

The resource catalogue can be searched in four different ways.

• The side menus and individual resource menus allow you to use the learning categories and areas taken from the Capabilities Framework to search resources. You can select 'View all' at the top of each resource menu to view the entire listing. Use the filtering and sort options at the top of each results page to help you to find what you are looking for.
• The customised search offers you a more comprehensive search.  
• After completing your self-assessment you can use your professional learning profile to take you to resources matched to the areas specified as learning priorities in your assessment.  
• The EfS Framework menu gives an explanation of all of the learning categories and areas that make up the resources menus, and can be used to direct you to a selection of service providers, events, publications, funding and awards, digital media and links for each category and area.
